01-06-2012: Happy New Year!

Hey guys!

We hope you all had a very wonderful holiday season and have started 2012 wonderfully... we certainly have.

For the past few weeks we've been recording a NEW ALBUM at Vudu Studios in Port Jefferson with Steve Haigler (Brand New, The Dear Hunter, The Pixies, As Tall As Lions). Today will be our last day of tracking, and we're really pumped to be introducing some new tracks into the mix!

Because of all the work we've been putting into the record, you probably realized we haven't been playing around that much. Once we start to get the release in order that'll change real soon, and hopefully we'll be able to start visiting more of you who are a bit farther than where we usually are able to travel.

Nick has been doing a fantastic job at video updates, which you can see below:

That being said, Nick hasn't been at the studio this week while Jon, Kaleena, and I record vocals so we haven't been quite as camera-active. You'll just have to trust us, we're recording vocals and the studio smells a lot better since the girl to guy ratio has increased dramatically.

On that note, time to hop in a vocal booth and get to work. See you all real soon!

xx

10-04-2011: Elmira College this Friday!

Hey all!

Hope October is treating you well! Just wanted to send out a quick announcement as we are playing smack dab in the middle of New York State (with the band up in Syracuse and me down in NYC, this seemed like a nice midway point): Elmira College! We'll be performing at the Campus Center Dining hall at 9:30pm. Not sure on all the details, but it appears to be free (will update when more information comes my way!)

Also, we have a CMJ showcase coming up at Arlene's Grocery! Click here to rsvp via facebook.

And thanks to everyone who keeps voting for us! We've made it to the 2nd round of the People's Choice Awards for the Syracuse Area Music Awards this year! Keep up the voting, and thanks so much for your continued support! The voting process goes on for quite a while, so really, we do appreciate every vote :)

Take care and see you all soon!

08-22-2011: Oh dear, we have some catching up to do...

Sorry folks, it's definitely been a whirlwind of craziness at TSE camp lately, but so much has been going on!

First off, did you see our great interview with Artistdirect? They gave some some great front page action (situated right between Tyrese and the Chili Peppers... not too shabby if you ask me). Many thanks to Rick Florino for the amazing interview, it was so much fun chatting with him!

Secondly, we are playing OPENING DAY of the NYS Fair! That's right folks, hitting the big time at Chevy Court so that you can nestle into one of the picnic tables with something tasty on a stick and watch us play at 5pm for FREE!

The Syracuse Post Standard's Mark Bialczak wrote a great little article after catching up with him recently on our feelings about playing the fair, and what we've been up to lately.

I also spoke with Jim Reith on WSYR news radio 106.9 on Friday to keep him up to date (one of our very favorite people in the Syracuse area) with everything TSE and otherwise.

See? I told you it's been nuts! But we wouldn't have it any other way.

So... see you at the fair on Thursday? Jon and I will also be heading onto Bridge Street that morning, so tune in, or if you're headed to the fair early we will be hanging with you all day!

Love you all, and stay away from those mosquitoes!

xx,
Kay

05-15-2011: Our most recent trip to the lovely NYC metro area.

Hey guys!

It's been a busy week at the TSE camp! We've been hustling our little tails off, and a lot of new and exciting things have happened! Like many of you are aware (and we know this because we saw you) we had a show at Arlene's Grocery on Wednesday at the staggeringly early 8pm showtime, but you guys were troopers and got there straight outta wherever you were and made it happen! We're so glad so many of you could make it out! And for those of you who didn't, fear not! We are returning Wednesday, May 24th at 9pm at Arlene's Grocery (mark your calendars!).

However, BEFORE the show we had the distinct pleasure and honor to do a photo shoot with the legendary Kevin Mazur, and below is an EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes look at what went down! As soon as we can unveil the latest photos (and yes, folks... Nick is in these!) we will, but let me tell you, they look FANTASTIC.

Many thanks to Kevin Mazur, Patrick Confrey, Ken Sunshine, Brian Magallones, Nick Barose, Legend Rivera, Nikki Fontanella, Jennifer Mazur, Lauryn Levin, Michael Roma, and everyone else at Sunshine, Sachs, and Associates for making that day rule like no other!

See you next week, NYC!

...Don't freak out, now guys!

I know it doesn't appear that we have any shows coming up, but I SWEAR we do! We will be unveiling THREE (yes, THREE) shows in May / June in just a few short days.

Get pumped -- we're ready to see you all out this summer!

03-06-2011: Arlene's Show Flyer!

Hey all!!

Below is the flyer for our Arlene's Grocery show... feel free to repost, or, if you wish, download a black and white flyer or page of mini flyers to print out and help us get ready for our return to New York City!

We're so excited to be back, and can't wait to see all of you-- we may just play a BRAND NEW SONG (maybeeeeeeeeee)... so let's make this a night to remember, grab your friends and head out to see us at 10pm on Tuesday the 22nd. And don't say you have to work in the morning, because ten years from now you'll never remember that one morning you were really tired at work. Make sure to save yourself some coffee money, then you'll be covered. Or join your work's coffee club now, because we're getting amped up to rock your weekday!

02-03-2011: We Want Your Blood!

Greetings, friends!

We would like to show you what we have been up lately with our Twisted Twins out in Vancouver. As I posted before, we have been working with them and Mister CJ Wallis (Forty Fps) to put together a rocking PSA song to help with the Soska's Women in Horror Month campaign. Basically, they, along with many other lovely babes in the horror industry, are trying to get people out to the Red Cross to donate blood this February. We have been discussing ideas and possibilities on how to get involved with the Soska Twins since our video shoots, and what you see here is the end result. As per their request, here is our cheerleader, punk rock, chant with profanities urging you to give up some blood for a good cause.

Their PSA features some incredible talent, as well as the lead in their upcoming feature film, American Mary. Please, please, please check out their site at www.twistedtwinsproductions.net. Also, our beloved video director and the brain behind our Kickstarter excursion, just released a new music video for none other than one of our favorite artists, Sarah Slean (you can see Kay in the video playing violin!). Check that out at www.fortyfps.com.

Get the song HERE!

Take a behind the scenes look at the making of the song!!

That's all for now! Enjoy the videos and the download -- and give us your blood!

01-19-2011: Mid-January Update!

Greetings, everyone!

We are hard at work on some exciting things for you guys! Aside from anxiously awaiting the day (SOON, I tell you!) we can ship out our KickStarter Prizes, we have been in the studio hard at work on some new tunes for an upcoming release. We can't wait to have the opportunity to play them live for you! Don't fret at our lack of tour dates, either... We are just taking some time for writing and recording. I promise; we'll be back on the road again in no time!

After meeting the fantastically talented Soska Sisters (Twisted Twins Productions) out in Vancouver, we have enthusiastically agreed to help them out with Women in Horror Month. Every February, these talented ladies, along with many other talented beauties in the horror industry, get together and pool their talents to help a great cause. This year, they are once again trying to get everyone out to the Red Cross to donate blood to those in need. To help them out, and to be a part of this great cause, we have been in the studio recording a very unique, very fun tune for their PSA. As soon as the PSA is completed, we will be posting it here, so you can check it out!

I hope everyone is doing fantastically! I think about 20% of us have been battling the awful colds that have been going around at any given time -- so I hope you are all staying healthy and drinking your OJ!

take care, and we will be posting another update soon!

01-06-2011: Kickstarter DVDs and Store news

Hey all!!

The Scarlet Ending - DVD Front

Firstly, we want to let all of our Kickstarter backers that the DVDs are done!! We know it has been a long time coming, but it has been an arduous journey for these little guys, and they've been all over the continent getting prettied up for your viewing pleasure. Fortyfps (CJ Wallis' company) has posted a blog entry about the status on them that you can view here. WE still haven't received them though, so it will still be a couple of weeks before they get shipped to you. But hey, it's a giant leap forward. And from what I hear, they look FAB.

Also, we want to warn you of some seriously low inventory counts on merch! We are so excited that you guys have been buying our shirts at shows or at our online store, but know that quantities are now extremely limited and we aren't sure if we're going to have these exact shirts again so if you like them make sure you pick them up soon, they're going fast!!

We hope you are all having a great start to your new year. We will be posting an update very soon about what we've been up to!

11-28-2010: Some new shows and band update

Hey everyone!

We all hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and are now gearing up for your holiday season. I know I for one cannot listen to Christmas music on the radio until the day after Thanksgiving (who started playing it after Halloween?! It's really messed up, radio people). But now it's all okay... I'm into it.

We have a few shows in rather short notice coming up this week, one in the greater Rochester area and one 'up north' in Potsdam. If you're a student at either Finger Lakes Community College or Potsdam we would LOVE to see you, and if you're just in the area I'm pretty sure both are open to the public so you should head on out!

Friday we'll be at FLCC performing on campus, and Saturday we'll be at Hurley's Nightclub at SUNY Potsdam with doors at 7 and the show starting at 7:30. The cost is free to all students and $3 to the general public, so come out and hang with us, we would love to see you!

In other news we've been starting up on some NEW material which we are all really excited about... now I'm not telling you when you may starting hearing it out or anything but just letting you know we're getting it ready for you. So get pumped. We are.

And kickstarters!! We haven't forgotten about you in the slightest I promise! We are working diligently to get all your goodies together, but with us located on opposite sides of the continent, price quotes from dvd companies... you know the drill, it's taking a bit to come together. But thanks for hanging in there, and don't forget if you've had a problem with the mp3 to give us a shout and we'll correct the issue asap!

Hope you all have a very happy Sunday, and we'll see you around NY this week!

Happy Haunting!
Kayleigh
