We want to make a pretty big announcement, and after much thought we've come to a pretty big crossroads and we want to share where we're at with you all. As you may or may not know, we've devoted the past 12 years to The Scarlet Ending, and have been truly honored and fortunate to travel to many places all over the globe and meet so many of you. We were able to bring a taste of home to thousands of deployed service men and women in the Middle East, Germany, and Greenland, played all over the country, probably given many of you rides back to your dorm room after a show at your college without thinking the obvious implications of a large van taking you back after hours.
Basically, we've made 90% of our life decisions around the progress of the band, and it has truly been a crazy ride. We've become family to one another, and watched through good times and bad the struggles and joys of everyone in the process. We've created as much memories as we have music over the years.
After 12 amazing years, we are now beginning to move in separate directions for the betterment of our lives individually, and with heavy hearts we have decided to take a hiatus. For however long, we aren't sure, but please know that we are not, and probably will never, stop making music together. We love each other and the music we make, but just as life comes at you, sometimes you need to take some time and smell the roses. Our fans and our music are so important to us, but now we need to take some time and do some living on our own. To experience some things for ourselves. To get hitched (congrats Jon!). To try some new things. To move to new places.
We are just as close as we have ever been, and we will continue to update our sites with music we're making individually and as a whole, so please keep in touch and we will do the same. We're just starting a new chapter in all of our lives, and would love to keep you in the loop.
Thank you all so much for the endless support we have received, you've filled our hearts with gratitude and some awesome memories. Thank you for your couches, your floors, the merch you bought, the shows you went to. We're not sorry if we created any awkward moments. We're not sorry Nick is a better dancer than you. We are sorry if Aaron hugged you for a little too long. But we'll be back... trust us, we cannot abandon something that made us who we are.
Here's to what comes next. Cheers, guys.
Love,
Aaron, Jess, Jon, Kaleena, Kayleigh, and Nick

New Show Added!
Hey guys!
We're really excited about having the opportunity to do another hometown show this month, since the last one was so much fun. This one is going to be all acoustic for a change of pace, but just like the last time we'll be sharing the stage with a bunch of fantastic Syracuse bands.
The lineup is Ohne Ka and the Burning River, us, Black Throat Wind, Summer Cult, and How To Disappear Completely, and they will ALL BE ACOUSTIC!
So make sure you come out next week to the Lost and have some fun with us!
xx

New Show Announcement!
That's right guys!
We're very excited to be performing again in New York City - and this time it's for a very special event. We will be playing the main stage at the United Way's "Live United" event in Cadman Park Plaza in downtown Brooklyn on Saturday, September 29th. The set time is still TBA, but we'll keep you updated as we find out more!
We want to thank all of you for purchasing "The Things You Used To Own," and for coming out to our release shows in New York City and Syracuse. A huge thanks to our friends at Arlene's Grocery, Scott Dixon, the crew at The Lost, Rejouissance, Black Throat Wind, CJ Wallis, Evil Treats, Chris Baker, Jim Reith, and all of our family and friends for making the series of release events more than we ever could have hoped for. If you have any photos or video, please throw 'em up on our facebook page, we'd love to see them!
Speaking of new videos, have you heard that we're making a short documentary?? Our bestie CJ Wallis (director of our past music videos and several other amazing short films) has been shooting footage for quite some time now, and has just posted a trailer to it -- check it out!

"The Things You Used To Own" Is Here!
Hey all!
After a long... 8 months or so, we are so proud to have a new record to share with you all. This has truly been a collaborative effort from every one of us at TSE, and with the help of Jim Goldsworthy at The Hollow Recording studio, Matt Cary (our amazing web-and-internet-it guy), manager Patrick Confrey, Steve Haigler, and everyone else at Vudu Studio, we now present to you, "The Things You Used to Own."
You can purchase it one of many ways:
1) From us! We'd love to see you! Our next release show is September 7th at The Lost Horizon. RSVP here on facebook!
2) itunes - here's the link! We'd also love if you could leave a short review once you've had the time to listen.
Or, before you buy feel free to stream on either our facebook page or spotify!

Happy New Year!
Hey guys!
We hope you all had a very wonderful holiday season and have started 2012 wonderfully... we certainly have.
For the past few weeks we've been recording a NEW ALBUM at Vudu Studios in Port Jefferson with Steve Haigler (Brand New, The Dear Hunter, The Pixies, As Tall As Lions). Today will be our last day of tracking, and we're really pumped to be introducing some new tracks into the mix!
Because of all the work we've been putting into the record, you probably realized we haven't been playing around that much. Once we start to get the release in order that'll change real soon, and hopefully we'll be able to start visiting more of you who are a bit farther than where we usually are able to travel.
Nick has been doing a fantastic job at video updates, which you can see below:
That being said, Nick hasn't been at the studio this week while Jon, Kaleena, and I record vocals so we haven't been quite as camera-active. You'll just have to trust us, we're recording vocals and the studio smells a lot better since the girl to guy ratio has increased dramatically.
On that note, time to hop in a vocal booth and get to work. See you all real soon!
xx

Elmira College this Friday!
Hey all!
Hope October is treating you well! Just wanted to send out a quick announcement as we are playing smack dab in the middle of New York State (with the band up in Syracuse and me down in NYC, this seemed like a nice midway point): Elmira College! We'll be performing at the Campus Center Dining hall at 9:30pm. Not sure on all the details, but it appears to be free (will update when more information comes my way!)
Also, we have a CMJ showcase coming up at Arlene's Grocery! Click here to rsvp via facebook.
And thanks to everyone who keeps voting for us! We've made it to the 2nd round of the People's Choice Awards for the Syracuse Area Music Awards this year! Keep up the voting, and thanks so much for your continued support! The voting process goes on for quite a while, so really, we do appreciate every vote :)
Take care and see you all soon!
xx

Oh dear, we have some catching up to do...
Sorry folks, it's definitely been a whirlwind of craziness at TSE camp lately, but so much has been going on!
First off, did you see our great interview with Artistdirect? They gave some some great front page action (situated right between Tyrese and the Chili Peppers... not too shabby if you ask me). Many thanks to Rick Florino for the amazing interview, it was so much fun chatting with him!
Secondly, we are playing OPENING DAY of the NYS Fair! That's right folks, hitting the big time at Chevy Court so that you can nestle into one of the picnic tables with something tasty on a stick and watch us play at 5pm for FREE!
The Syracuse Post Standard's Mark Bialczak wrote a great little article after catching up with him recently on our feelings about playing the fair, and what we've been up to lately.
I also spoke with Jim Reith on WSYR news radio 106.9 on Friday to keep him up to date (one of our very favorite people in the Syracuse area) with everything TSE and otherwise.
See? I told you it's been nuts! But we wouldn't have it any other way.
So... see you at the fair on Thursday? Jon and I will also be heading onto Bridge Street that morning, so tune in, or if you're headed to the fair early we will be hanging with you all day!
Love you all, and stay away from those mosquitoes!
xx,
Kay

Our most recent trip to the lovely NYC metro area.
Hey guys!
It's been a busy week at the TSE camp! We've been hustling our little tails off, and a lot of new and exciting things have happened! Like many of you are aware (and we know this because we saw you) we had a show at Arlene's Grocery on Wednesday at the staggeringly early 8pm showtime, but you guys were troopers and got there straight outta wherever you were and made it happen! We're so glad so many of you could make it out! And for those of you who didn't, fear not! We are returning Wednesday, May 24th at 9pm at Arlene's Grocery (mark your calendars!).
However, BEFORE the show we had the distinct pleasure and honor to do a photo shoot with the legendary Kevin Mazur, and below is an EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes look at what went down! As soon as we can unveil the latest photos (and yes, folks... Nick is in these!) we will, but let me tell you, they look FANTASTIC.
Many thanks to Kevin Mazur, Patrick Confrey, Ken Sunshine, Brian Magallones, Nick Barose, Legend Rivera, Nikki Fontanella, Jennifer Mazur, Lauryn Levin, Michael Roma, and everyone else at Sunshine, Sachs, and Associates for making that day rule like no other!
See you next week, NYC!

DON'T FREAK OUT!
...Don't freak out, now guys!
I know it doesn't appear that we have any shows coming up, but I SWEAR we do! We will be unveiling THREE (yes, THREE) shows in May / June in just a few short days.
Get pumped -- we're ready to see you all out this summer!
